She is going to be designing it all. I just told her that I would help promote it..... that's it. I have no grounds of negotiating with her. I am just helping out with spreading the word and bringing the bikes in as a friend..... not a business partner.

Yeah, but you have the ability to "suggest" ideas to help them make it a good bike night.

Yea like "Hooters biker night in station square" - Bikini contests, prizes, and %10 off everything." So your telling me that wouldnt then become your dream resturant/bar. And if it really picks up over the summer then the GM can goto spirit harley davidson... get them to help sponser the joint, and donate a harley that could be given away in a raffle. If you had a chance at a $10,000 or more harely, AND YOUR DRUNK, then im sure you will probly pay 5 bucks for a ticket. And tell her to start the raffle early, but do the main drawing in june or so, by then she shound have collected $15,000 dollars or more.

Just some shot that i had to throw out there ... After all i have my own opinions...

Just an observation, but have you ever thought of getting into wedding planning?

That's a good idea and all, but she just wants to get it started small and then she can go to the owner for more options. The bikini contest is not going to happen (right away atleast). It will most likely just be regular hooter's girls in their work outfits.

Like stated before, I will let you guys know what the deal is when I get more information. I just wanted to see how much enthusiasm/support there would be from this site.

Raffling a bike always sounds nice, but you are talking about selling 3k tickets. Believe it or not, there are a lot of cheap bastids out there that would only be willing to had out a $1 for a raffle...sad but true. There is less drinking going on at bike nights, than you would think. Only way Quaker makes the money off bike night is selling food, but they are normally that busy on the foos sales every night and they did the smart thing and sell drinks and food outside, which definitely pulls in a good chunk of change for them. 10% off everything IMO for a restaurant, would be bad business, yes they make a good profit, but if this bike night ends up like most with mainly sportbikes, people are going to be outside bullshitting and hanging out and not eatting or drinking.

Bikini Contest....I think you are on to something there, that would be a good thing for drawing people even outside the bike community. Most Hooters do hold a contest every year, unfortunately it is usually the employees involved...around here, that might not be good.

well it will be an open bikini contest so you might even have bikers to get there girl friends and what not to enter the contest.. and being down in station square i see a lot of sexy ladies that could enter the contest if it becomes well enough known. As for the raffle for a bike, well that does take time but 5 isnt much for a ticket.. i know a local fire department around me gives away two $20,000 harleys once a year and sells tickets for 20 bucks.. so 5 isnt bad at all... but i was just talking about possibilities for the future.

Better idea, if it starts have real charties that raffle bikes (like aforementioned VFD) bring thier shit to Hooters to pimp.

Let it get off the ground first before brainstorming anything. I for one will more then likely show up from time to time but really want nothing to do with planning or sitting up anything.

i really think this is getting a bit blown out of proportion and you have to realize things like this have to start out small otherwise what if 3 weeks in a row it rains on bike night??? think they will continue the bike nights and put forth the commitment if just a handfull show up due to weather. dobtfull business is business.

Any business will start promotions out small and then work from there.

Lets all just concentrate on the real thing we are talkn about here...

:flash

:cheers

I think everyone has presented some valid points, opinions and suggestions. I think we should just let this roll, promote it word of mouth as we do, and provide any suggestions to make things better to Duess once things get rolling and just hope for the best.

From the looks of things, we're going to have plenty of places to roll to this summer.
